Play Streets
SCY launched our Play Streets initiative in 2022, with the goal of increasing outdoor play and connection opportunities for young people in BC. Co-designed with kids, Play Streets temporarily transform select streets into thriving public spaces, with SCY staff providing creative play offerings and elements on site.
Since 2022, we have hosted Play Streets in over a dozen different locations across 3 participating municipalities (the City of Vancouver, the City of Richmond, and the City of New Westminster).
